If you are anything like me, then you have an unwavering passion to eat the healthiest food possible.
Healthy food to me can be just about anything that works for your body and increasing your vibrational frequency. Healthy food really can come in any form and this is why I am becoming completely enamored with studying it in all forms.
Recently adaptogens have been springing up on my radar more and more.
This is probably because of their ability to help the body deal with stress and they have certainly helped out since my son has been born and I have not always been getting the sleep I was accustomed to. It has led to my using a few different tinctures that I have made that were super simple to make in an alcohol preparation.
In addition to these superfoods still intrigue me.
I still feel that a superfood is the same thing as a healthy food, just marketed differently. That being said most superfoods in my opinion do hold merit. They are very healthy and can be used in a diet just like any other food. As long as they work for your body and add health and vitality to you then by all means consume them. A wide array of healthy foods is certainly a great way to keep your body, mind and spirit in tip top shape. Why not partake in some superfoods?
Also, a food can still be a superfood even if not touted as one.
An example could be grass fed beef kidney. This is something that I feel amazing when I eat, but simple has no way to be marketed and make a ton of money off of. This does not mean that I would stop eating it, but instead embrace that such a healthy food can be a superfood for myself and enjoy every single bite.
Diving into herbs has been another great way to get some unbelievably healthy food.
Often rather unassuming when looked at, herbs tend to pack a punch in both flavor and nutrient density. They sure could be looked at as a superfood with all they do. It is best to play around and find ones that you love. I have tended to grow they ones I cannot get enough of, but using them dried works just as well.
As I am writing this I am smiling thinking about my oregano and sage growing out back in the yard.
This is what it is all about. Experiencing different foods and just loving them so much because they too love your body! Give your body what it needs for food and it will help the mind and spirit grow as well.
Just because I have this passion for healthy food, does not mean that I do not have cravings for junk food like one of my all time favorites…Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. That being said, it has been quite a while since I’ve had one because of how much I feel like garbage afterword. Instead in those times of craving I choose to overindulge on something that is far better for me, even in a bit of excess.
Remember that even if you eat healthy, having a passion for the food you eat can make it even better. Seek out what you love and give it as a gift to yourself. It will carry you through and keep you truly healthy.
Have a Great Day!
