It has been a bit since I have written a whole lot in the form of blogs and realized how much I missed writing.
The videos have really been great, but need a little more to help express myself and hopefully share a little more with you. There are two main things that I want to talk about as they keep popping up in my life and continue to hold my interest:
- Adaptogens
- Strongman and Strength Athletics
First and foremost what are adaptogens?
They are usually a type of herb or mushroom that help the body adapt to stressors and give a normalizing effect to help maintain homeostasis. There are many different ways that they can be consumed from tinctures to teas, some dried, some fresh and everywhere in between.
This will be gone into much greater depth. For now it is important for you to understand that they can have an amazing impact on the body, whether you are in poor health, great health, weak or strong as an ox, you can still derive the benefits from adaptogens.
Strongman and Strength Athletics
The reason that I put both here is that strongman has really been my first love in strength athletics, but the more I do the more that I am open to other forms. The sport of kettlebell is very fun and certainly do not want to pass by it and powerlifting has so much crossover because of the amazing feats of strength being performed.
Weightlifting is another example that I am still fascinated by and I would not rule out the highland games for myself in the future since competing in a kilt sounds pretty tough to beat. All in all, I just love being strong and want to explore all avenues getting there. This involves studying from the best, applying to my life and sharing with you the results to hopefully help you in your pursuits.
What does all this mean?
Continuing my pursuit to be strong as an ox and healthy as a horse is a never ending process. If this is something that you are interested in then I encourage you to follow along on the journey and I’ll share all on the adaptogens that I can as well as the many endeavours of strength athletics.
